Yes. InstantHPI is HIPAA-compliant. No Protected Health Information (PHI) is stored locally in the extension. All data is encrypted in transit.
Do I need a Spruce Health account?
Yes. InstantHPI integrates with Spruce Health for patient messaging. You need an active Spruce account to use the live features. The demo mode works without one.
What does the AI documentation do?
It reads your patient conversation and generates a SOAP note (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan) automatically using Claude AI. You can review and edit before saving.
How do I sign out?
Click the extension icon, then "Sign Out". This clears all local data immediately for HIPAA compliance.
Can I try it before connecting my account?
Yes! The interactive demo walks you through all 5 panels with fictional patient data. Click "Try Interactive Demo" when you install the extension.
